Top Navigation and Maps Apps in Italy: Q4 2024 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the navigation and maps app market in Italy saw varied performance across the top applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced significant fluctuations in downloads, peaking at 82K in mid-December. Active users also increased, reaching over 2.3M by the end of the quarter.

Google Maps maintained consistent weekly downloads, with numbers ranging between 33K and 43K. The app's active user base remained stable, closing the quarter at approximately 30.8M.

Google Earth saw weekly downloads fluctuate, with a high of 29K in early October. Active users hovered around 650K, ending the quarter with a slight decrease.

Radarbot: Speed Cameras | GPS experienced a notable increase in both downloads and revenue in December. Weekly revenue peaked at $5.9K, while downloads surged to 17K in mid-December. Active users grew steadily, reaching 78K by the end of the year.

TomTom: GPS Maps & Traffic showed a dramatic increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, climbing to 34K in the final week. Active users also saw a rise, finishing the year at 42K.
